Vietnamese fruits are increasingly establishing a solid brand reputation and winning total customer trust at Asia Fruit Logistica, thanks to their diverse varieties, high quality, rich nutrition, and health benefits.

According to a VNA reporter in Hong Kong (China), this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica was held at the AsiaWorld-Expo from September 2 to 4, featuring 730 booths from 40 countries and territories worldwide. The Vietnamese delegation, led by the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (VINAFRUIT), included 24 display booths from 22 nationwide enterprises.

Serving as a bridge to promote trade connections among regional and global businesses, distributors, and consumers, this year’s event focused on showcasing products under key themes including fresh produce, machinery, services, logistics, smart agriculture, and technology.

Speaking to a VNA reporter in Hong Kong, Dang Phuc Nguyen, General Secretary of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association (VINAFRUIT), noted that after years of participation, the Vietnamese delegation’s scale and stature at the trade fair have continuously expanded and elevated. From just 10 participating enterprises in 2017, the figure has risen to 22 in 2026 and is expected to keep growing in the coming time. Alongside this growth, revenues have also increased year after year.

At Asia Fruit Logistica 2025, the total value of contracts signed directly between Vietnamese businesses and international partners reached approximately 5 million USD. According to Mr. Dang Phuc Nguyen, sales at this year’s event are projected to be even higher, driven by high-quality key export items such as durian, passion fruit, and dragon fruit.

Mr. Dang Phuc Nguyen emphasized that compared to the vast potential of the domestic fruit and vegetable sector—with hundreds of thousands of active enterprises—the participation scale and export revenues generated by the Vietnamese delegation at Asia Fruit Logistica remain modest.

However, from another perspective, the benefits to Vietnam are crucial. They extend beyond merely sourcing partners and expanding markets to actively promoting the immense potential, superior quality, and credibility of the Vietnamese fruit sector.

The VINAFRUIT General Secretary added that in addition to fresh produce, this year’s fair features exhibition zones dedicated to harvesting, processing, preservation, and transport technologies—with a strong emphasis on smart, organic, and eco-friendly agriculture. Consequently, Vietnamese enterprises can explore, import, or drive technology transfers to further enhance both the quality and value of fruits and vegetables specifically, and Vietnamese agricultural products in general.

Speaking to the VNA correspondent, Le Minh Tuan, Director of Pulimex Import-Export Company, shared that his company brought various famous specialty fruits to the fair—including dragon fruit, coconut, banana, longan, rambutan, and mango—primarily aiming to connect with foreign partners and expand export markets.

Mr. Tuan noted that over four consecutive participations, he views Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong as a vital networking platform for Vietnamese fruit exporters to reach global markets, extending beyond Asia to the US, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and Africa.

According to him, these efforts are made even smoother as relevant Vietnamese authorities step up support for businesses by resolving hurdles in legal procedures and payment methods.

Echoing this view, Le Huu Dung, Director of Vinafood International—a company specializing in exporting Vietnamese fruit to India and the Middle East—said this is the firm’s first time participating in Asia Fruit Logistica. He expressed hope that the event will drive market expansion into other high-potential regions worldwide, feeling confident this goal is attainable given the rich variety and solidifying reputation of Vietnamese fruits.

Speaking to the VNA reporter, Alessandro Cordano from Portugal expressed great impression with the sheer variety of Vietnamese produce. In his view, Vietnamese fruits are not only visually appealing but also delicious, highly nutritious, and healthy. He believes Vietnam will make a strong impact and achieve major success at this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica.

Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable export revenues have surged continuously in recent years, rising from around 7 billion USD in 2024 to 8.6 billion USD in 2025, and are projected to surpass the 10-billion-USD milestone in 2026.
