A special flight delivers 98 tons of Vietnamese agricultural products to a world-renowned retail chain.

The retail group that owns the popular LuLu Hypermarket chain has chartered a second flight carrying 98 tons of Vietnamese agricultural products to the UAE for sale.

According to information from the Department of Foreign Market Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade, following instructions from Mr. M.A. Yusuff Ali – Chairman and CEO of LuLu Group International, a leading retail group owning the globally renowned LuLu Hypermarket chain – a second chartered flight has been deployed to transport Vietnamese agricultural products to the UAE market.

A flight carrying 98 tons of Vietnamese agricultural products, operated by MAY Exports Vietnam, based in Ho Chi Minh City, under the direct guidance and coordination of Mr. Mirash Basheer, took off from Tan Son Nhat Airport on May 10, 2026. This further affirms the growing interest of the UAE market in particular and the Middle East region in general in the quality, reputation, and supply capacity of Vietnamese goods. According to the Department of Foreign Market Development, LuLu Group International’s continued expansion of procurement and chartering of flights for Vietnamese goods confirms the growing confidence of the Middle Eastern market in Vietnamese businesses, while also opening up further opportunities to boost production and exports to this promising region. This will create a foundation for further boosting agricultural export turnover, enhancing the brand value of Vietnamese goods in the international market, and contributing to diversifying export markets amidst the volatile global trade environment.

Previously, in April 2026, Lulu Group International also chartered an aircraft to transport over 98 tons of agricultural products from Vietnam to the UAE. The shipment included key products from the southern region such as lemons, dragon fruit, pomelos, and fresh jackfruit. Lulu Group International, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, currently operates retail systems in over 23 countries in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, with annual revenues exceeding $8 billion. The group has opened a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City to strengthen procurement and integrate Vietnamese goods into its global distribution system.
